Wiimote FireFighting Robot, Blows Out A Candle As For Now

by Patrick on September 5th, 2007

Now, you can use your Wiimote to fight fire, not a big one though. Modder chadphil uses the IR sensor of the Wii remote to find the fire of a candle and a C program that he came up to read data and send commands via Bluetooth.

It is mainly a proof of concept that the wiimote can be used in a fire fighting robot. It basically just circles around until it sees a candle, then turns on the fan and moves toward the candle.

Where To Make:

Windmeadow Labs
{Wiimote controlled firefighting robot}

Extinguish fire *poof* via MAKE
