MetaReview: Sony PlayStation 3 Logitech Cordless Precision Controller

The Logitech Cordless Precision Controller for PS3 ($39.99) is $10 cheaper than the original SIXAXIS controller but it lacks motion sensing and Bluetooth. You have to sacrifice a precious USB port for this controller’s USB receiver. And yep, this 2 AA-battery powered, PS2-compatible controller can rumble with rumble-enabled PS2 games but what’s the use of this gadget in PS3 motion-sensing games? Beats me. Logitech has certainly made a not-so-impressive product this time.
IGN (6.2/10) - has this…”It’s lack of a built in rechargeable battery, lack of Bluetooth, and lack of tilt-sensitivity, coupled with its less-comfortable ergonomics and too-stiff L2 and R2 buttons combine to make it an also-ran against the official PS3 pad.”
Techgage (6/10) - says you can’t check on its battery status: “With this controller, you cannot check up on the battery status with the PS3.”
Amazon (1.5/5) based on 3 customers reviews - one of the customers laments: “Simply put, this controller is nothing more than a repackaged PS2 controller.”
