Nintendo iQue DS Lite Launch in China on 26th June

Nintendo will launch the iQue DS Lite in China on 26th June with two colours - crystal white and enamel navy. The difference between a normal DS Lite and an iQue DS Lite is that the later can support Chinese version DS games, while others simply can’t. The iQue DS Lite will make its appearance at the 2nd China International Animation, Cartoon and Game Festival, on 29th June, at Shanghai Exhibition Center (Shanghai, China).

Chinese DS games will also be featured at the festival or fair. Titles include…

  • Nintendogs
  • Big Brain Academy
  • New Super Mario Bros.

A package that contains a towel and a water bottle is said to be a gift for iQue DS Lite buyers at the festival.

Price of the iQue is believed to be around 1198 Chinese Yuan ($150).

    I just got a NDS in China a little while ago and i have been wondering why it says iQue Lite instead of the usual, my friends were wondering if it was fake! Also, I didn’t know why, that when my friends borrowed my chinese games, it simply would not work for them.

    I’m going to China soon, and I’m wondering whether it would be cheaper to buy it from there than here (in Australia). How much does the DS Lite cost in China?

    I’m not so sure but it should be around the same cost as the US set.

    I don’t know about .au, but the iQue DS lite is more expensive than the US version - most places were selling it for about RMB 1300 = about 178 USD.

    Having said that, the iQue DS has the advantage that it will play ANY DS game (including the ones from China) and the (JP,US,EU) versions will not play the Chinese games.

    I just bought a nintendo lite off ebay, but i juts got it and it says nintendo ds lite ique, can anyone tell me the difference and can you still play normal ds games?

    Is NDS is more cheaper in China or here[in Indonesia] ?? How much the price of NDS in China? I’m confusing to buy in China or Indonesia..in here it’s so expensive.
    it cost about 1,8 million. I hope in China it would be cheaper than here.^^
